1. Have a conversation
You can enquire for yourself, someone close to you or, with their consent, someone you support professionally. Tell us the postcode, what you want company for and the days or times you have in mind.
Jonathan handles the first conversation. Talk about what you enjoy, what has become difficult to arrange and any other support involved. We will explain the service and answer your questions.
2. Meet your companion
We use that conversation to introduce a companion with your interests and routine in mind. The free meet-and-greet gives you time to talk and see how you get on before booking paid visits.
A relative or someone you trust can join you. You decide whether the introduction feels right. If it does not, tell us what would make a better match.
3. Agree the first visits
We settle the days, hours, activities, price and practical details together. For an outing, that includes the journey and any expenses. For visits at home, it includes access and how you want the time spent.
You have the same named companion, a named backup introduced within the first month and a written note after every visit. We agree with you who receives updates and give you a named contact at Whitegreen. You know what has been arranged before the first paid visit.
4. Keep talking
Your plans may change as you get to know your companion. Perhaps you want a longer outing, a different day or more time at home. We check how the arrangement is working and discuss changes with you.
Some people want ongoing company. Others want support around a particular activity or a period of change. We plan around what you want, rather than setting the same end point for everyone.
What does it cost?
The meet-and-greet is free. Our published prices explain weekday visits, evenings, weekends and outing costs. Longer days and overnight company are agreed individually. See prices.
When will we reply?
Our call hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, and weekends, 10am to 5pm. We reply within one working hour during those hours. An enquiry sent outside them is picked up when we reopen.
