Personal company in a busy place
Living around other people does not always mean having the one-to-one company you want. A resident may enjoy the home's activities and still want time with someone who shares their interests.
A Whitegreen companion can read the paper with them, listen to music, talk about football, play a game or spend time on a favourite hobby. We ask the resident what they would enjoy.
Arrange it together
We speak with the person and those helping organise the visits. The introduction is free, and the resident has the opportunity to meet the companion before booking.
We agree visiting times, access and communication with the home. If the person wants to go out, the outing and any support required are discussed beforehand.
Keep family involved
With the resident's agreement, a written update can keep family informed about the visit. We settle who receives information and what they want shared before visits begin.
Work alongside the home
The companion adds individual time and company. The home's staff remain responsible for the care they provide. We agree who the companion contacts if assistance is needed during a visit.
